Interview with NEM Ambassador for Mexico
1.) Can you please briefly explain the concept of a NEM ambassador? What is your role about and why did you decide to go for it?
Sure, my role as NEM Ambassador is to create and consolidate alliances with governments, enterprises and academic institutions to educate and adopt NEM as a solution for challenges, innovative products and services. I decided to go for it after researching a lot about the emerging blockchain technologies. NEM represents the kind of solutions that I like and I’m able to provide to industries and commerces.
2.) How many NEM ambassadors are there and what is the path for community enthusiasts to become a NEM ambassador?
Only in Latin America, there are 11 ambassadors (including Spain). There’s only an ambassador per country unless some exceptions where more than 1 ambassador is needed (the only example in LatAm is Brazil). The best way is to contact the Regional Manager and check for opportunities with NEM.
3.) Talking about NEM, what do you think makes NEM unique compared to other blockchain projects?
Scalability, reduced fees for implementation, enterprise – oriented strategy and a diverse community across the world.
4.) Every blockchain is useless without adoption. In which areas do you see adoption happening for NEM in 2019?
In Latin America, I see strong adoption in Finance, Supply Chain, Management, EdTech and Real Estate. There are current projects starting to work and adopting NEM technologies so the future is bright for our region in terms of blockchain next year.
